| First of all let me update you on what is happening in our local area.
They recently passed beer and wine in Fannin county, Fannin has been what they call a dry county since 1854 says Diane Thomas of the commissioners office "because of religious and high moral standards ."It has taken partakers over 100 years to get it passed ..this dry county's high standards led to Bootleggers and Moonshiners..and a little 'shine' can still be found in alot of refridgerators in the area strictly for medicinal purposes(of course) :-)
..since they passed the beer and wine ordinance over 13 application for sales in the county have been applied for reports Susan Hayes
Alot of local business owners feel that this will stimilate the local economy...alot of church goers and religious folks think that it will hurt the quaintness and unwordliness that folks love this beautiful county for...differences in opinion are voiced weekly in the local newspaper....and are quite entertaining..
Foreclosure Properties-Purchasers who are buying Foreclosed properites through the local banks are not neccessarily getting the best deals in the North Georgia Area. Because of the Foreclosure Frenzy that we have going on right now , some banks are not being as negotiable on the pricing. The bail out to the banks is also giving some banks the feeling of security they needed to not take lower offers on properties. Nominated for Businesswoman of the year 2004, Honorary chairman award 2004, 3 months in Mozambique/South Africa , took toys, clothing to the war devastated children of Mozambique, spent a month in Moralia, Mexico working with the children also. Built a successful business cliental in Tulsa Oklahoma 'Starra Cleaning' and moved home in 98 to start a successful family business that I sold to my brother in 2005.
